Pap Test Result
A pap test result will help determine if vaginal discharge is a symptom of cervical dysplasia.
There are two methods that are commonly used to classify findings of a cytology specimen. Regardless of which method used, HPV DNA testing can enhance the likelihood of detecting high-risk type HPV infections known to be associated with cervical cancer for early intervention and treatment.

Cytology interpretation is a function of identifying the stages of abnormal cellular development with the cervix. The number and degree of uncharacteristic cell changes identified determines the classification of the cytology reading.
