Sex Before Pap Smear
Having a sex before pap smear is not recommended, as there should be no obstructions for the pap smear; the test can detect verruca, warts, dysplasia and other problems.
Ideally, women planning to have the test should avoid sexual relations, vaginal creams, jellies, and medicines, douching, and tampons as it may alter the results. According to doctors, the best time to have Papanicolaou test is the first two weeks after the last cycle and no sooner that 24-48 after intercourse.
