Pap Smear After Hysterectomy
A pap smear after hysterectomy is performed if the patient complains on abnormal vaginal discharge, verruca and other discomfort.
Regular screening for women who have had their uterus removed has been found to be less useful even though vaginal cancer can advance more rapidly. Screening for cervical cancer allows cancer to be detected in early stages before it becomes progressive.
