Bethesda Pap Smear
The bethesda pap smear system was developed by CDC and NIH for classification of condyloma abnormalities on a Pap smear.
If there are no abnormalities, the results are normal. There are also atypical cells (ASCUS) that require additional tests since their origin is hard to determine. Depending on the extent of the changes in the cells, there may low- or high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion be diagnosed.
