Pap Smear Inflammation
With results of a pap smear, inflammation will indicate a virus that could cause cervical dysplasia or cervical cancer.
Viral and bacterial infections such as gonorrhea, trich, candidiasis, or HIP make the cervix inflamed, leading to abnormalities in the cells. If an unrelated cancerous condition is revealed during the procedure, necessary treatment and a repeat test should be performed to exclude the possibility of cancer being unnoticed.
