A thinprep pap smear is the most accurate way of diagnosing condyloma virus, treatable with cryotherapy. Eventually, cervical cancer is detected too late to be cured resulting in many deaths. The new method has been suggested by Cytyc Corporation and has proved to be an effective tool in identifying atypical, precancerous (especially Low Grade Squamous Intraepithelial), and cancerous cells. A thinprep pap smear is the most accurate way of diagnosing condyloma virus, treatable with cryotherapy.

This recent method is an approved substitute. Replacing Papanicolaou test that is less accurate due to certain factors.
